Modern Slavery Statement
Version: 2.0
Introduction
Grade Mobile
is committed to ethical, transparent, and responsible operations. We uphold a
zero-tolerance policy towards slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of
our business and supply chains and recognise our responsibility to combat
modern slavery.
Our Business
and Supply Chains
We specialise
in the sale, leasing, and refurbishment of mobile phones, alongside SIM deals
and foreign imports/exports. Our supply chains primarily involve mobile phone
manufacturers, distributors, logistics providers, and refurbishing partners.
Policies and
Governance
To ensure robust governance, we maintain:
- Anti-slavery and ethical policies which prohibit
forced labour, human trafficking, and child labour. This includes ensuring
that our suppliers, contractors, and other third parties are also not
engaging in such activities.
- Due Diligence Checks on all companies we
work with to assess the risk of modern slavery prior to engaging with them.
- Whistleblowing Channels for employees and
third parties to report unethical practices confidentially.
- Fair Pay Standards and Standard Working
Hours, ensuring all employees are paid at least the UK National Minimum
Wage and they have a balance between time spent at work and at home.
Any
indication that a third party is engaging in prohibited activities will result
in immediate cancellation of our business relationship, as well as notification
of the relevant authority within the offending Company’s legal jurisdiction.
Risk Assessment and Supply
Chain Oversight
While the risk of modern slavery within our
operations is low due to our sector and ethical sourcing focus, we remain
vigilant by:
- Requiring all suppliers to adhere to UK
laws and align with our ethical business standards.
- Reserving the right to discontinue
relationships with suppliers who fail to meet our ethical expectations.
Training and Awareness
We are committed to educating our workforce
on identifying and addressing modern slavery. To enhance awareness:
- E-learning Modules on modern slavery are
now part of our induction program.
- Employees are trained to recognize and
report concerns, supported by our Whistleblowing Policy.
Measuring Effectiveness
We annually review our processes and supply
chain relationships to ensure compliance with ethical standards and
effectiveness in combating modern slavery. As of this statement, no instances
of modern slavery have been identified within our business or supply chains.
Future Commitments
In the coming year, we plan to:
- Enhance supplier due diligence
procedures.
- Expand employee training on ethical
practices and modern slavery risks.
